Rooted in Islamic Principles

Our Mudarabah model is strictly aligned with the Quran and Sunnah.

QUARN: Surah Sad (38:24)

"And indeed, many partners oppress one another, except those who believe and do righteous deeds..."

Allah acknowledges business partnerships and encourages fairness.
QUARN: Surah Al-Baqarah (2:278)

"O you who believe! Fear Allah and give up what remains of Riba if you are believers"

Fixed interest is Haram; profit-sharing partnerships are the Halal alternative.
HADITH: Sunan Abu Dawud (3383)

"Allah says: 'I am the third partner of two partners as long as one of them does not betray his companion.'"

Allah blesses honest and transparent business partnerships.
HISTORICAL PRACTICE

Mudarabah was practiced by Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) himself when he managed the trade caravan of Khadijah

Reference: Sahih Bukhari, Book 23, Hadith 1419
Scholarly Endorsement

"Mudarabah is one of the most important contracts in Islamic finance. It allows both parties to benefit from business ventures without resorting to Riba."

— Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi (Fiqh al-Zakat, 1999)

Your Investment Journey

A transparent 5-step process from capital to profit.

1
You Invest

You provide capital by choosing a Mudarabah plan.

2
SGT Manages

We trade physical gold and manage assets.

3
Business Result

Trades generate actual profit or loss.

4
Distribution

Profits shared according to ratio.

5
Flexibility

Withdraw, reinvest, or switch plans.

Key Real-World Difference

While fixed deposits guarantee a flat rate (which is Haram), Mudarabah returns fluctuate based on actual trade success. This uncertainty is exactly what makes it Halal, as both parties share the business reality.

Historical Performance Overview

Transparency is our core value. Here is the historical profit range shared with our investors over the last 12 months. Note: This is an educational reference, not a future guarantee.

  • Actual Profit: $500
  • Your 80% Share: +$400

SCENARIO: LOSS (MARKET DOWNTURN)
  • Invested: $10,000
  • Business Loss: -$500

The Islamic Reality of Loss

In case of a loss, the investor bears the monetary loss, while SGT (Mudarib) loses its management time and effort. This fair distribution ensures both sides are motivated for success.

Critical Risk Information

Mudarabah is NOT a Guaranteed Fixed Deposit

In Islamic trading, profits are linked to real-world performance. While we work to maximize rewards, market fluctuations are real. Capital is at risk.

I understand returns are variable, not fixed interest (Halal vs Riba).
I understand that past success doesn't ensure future results.
I accept that business losses can reduce my initial capital.
I have only invested capital I can afford to risk.
"Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden Riba" — (2:275)

What actually happens to your money

Mudarabah has two sides: capital and work. The diagram is the whole contract — who brings what, how profit is divided, and who carries a loss.

You Rabb-ul-Maal brings the capital Smart Gold Trade Mudarib brings the work GOLD BUSINESS If it earns a profit YOUR AGREED SHARE MANAGER'S SHARE If it makes a loss the capital carries it. The manager loses their effort and the share they would have earned.

One cycle, start to finish

Day 1 you commit capital During traded in the gold business Monthly results reported, profit shared Cycle end capital plus your share returned Withdrawal before the end is the exception, not the plan.
The share is a ratio of profit, never a percentage of capital. That single distinction is what separates Mudarabah from a deposit paying interest. If a return is promised whatever happens, the contract has stopped being Mudarabah.

The evidence behind the contract

Mudarabah predates the banks by fourteen centuries.

Qur’an · Al-Muzzammil 73:20

“…and others travelling through the land seeking of Allah’s bounty.”

The verb yadribuna shares its root with mudarabah: trading with someone else’s capital is the activity the word itself describes.

Practice of the Companions

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم traded with the capital of Khadijah رضي الله عنها before prophethood on exactly this basis, and Mudarabah continued among the Companions without objection — which is why the jurists treat its permissibility as settled.

AAOIFI Shariah Standard No. 13 sets out the modern conditions: capital must be known and handed over, profit must be a ratio rather than a fixed amount, and the manager may not guarantee the capital.

What can go wrong. Gold has losing months, and a losing cycle reduces your capital — that risk is the reason the return is lawful. Invest an amount whose worst outcome you could absorb, and treat the published ranges as history, not as a forecast.

Common questions

Including the ones with uncomfortable answers.

What is Mudarabah in one sentence?

One side provides the capital and the other provides the work. Profit is split by a ratio agreed in advance; the capital provider carries the financial loss, and the manager loses their effort and their share of a profit that never came.

How is Mudarabah different from a bank fixed deposit?

A fixed deposit pays interest — a fixed return on money, which is riba. Mudarabah pays a share of profit that was actually earned, so the amount is not known in advance and can be nothing at all.

That uncertainty is not a flaw in the product; it is what makes the return lawful.

Is the profit share a percentage of my capital?

No, and this is the distinction that decides whether a contract is Mudarabah at all. The share is a ratio of the profit — for example 70:30 of whatever is earned.

A fixed percentage of the capital, promised regardless of results, would be interest wearing a different name.

Can I lose my principal?

Yes. If the venture loses money, the loss comes out of the capital, and in Mudarabah that loss falls on the capital provider. The manager is not asked to make it good, because they invested effort rather than money.

Anyone offering Mudarabah with a guaranteed principal is not offering Mudarabah.

Why are the profit ranges wide rather than a single number?

Because they follow real trading results. Some months gold trading is strong; others are flat or negative. A range describes what has happened over time — it is not a promise, and the outcome can fall outside it.

How do I know the money is actually being used in the business?

Through monthly performance reporting, statements, and a dashboard showing your active investments and their results.

Can I withdraw before the cycle ends?

Generally no — the capital is committed for the length of the cycle, because it is deployed in the business for that period. Genuine emergencies are considered case by case, without a profit share and subject to a management charge.

Do I pay zakat on a Mudarabah investment?

Yes. It is your wealth throughout, so it is included in your zakat calculation once you pass the nisab and a lunar year completes. Our zakat calculator handles the working.
